Overview
NAK Australia is pleased to announce the release of the steering and CV boot program to the
Australian market. This range has been developed over 2 years, and has been assembled to
suit the Australian market. We believe that the range of boots available, cataloguing research
as well as the superior quality will make the NAK range the one all others are measured
against. This is a new release of steering and CV boots on the Australian market. It had to be
the best by 2 before we would release it.
Material
There has been a lot said about material specification on steering and CV boots, but here are
the facts on our product:
- The first boot in the market with a 100% CK601 neoprene;
- The first boot in the market with an ozone resistant compound additive to the boot as standard;
- All NAK boots are 60 duro (Shore A) hardness.
CK601 neoprene may be a new material term to most of the market, but we will use another
well known brand names own words on their own material: "In this case the nitrile rubber has
been 'heat age' tested to ASTM D-2240 (Shore A) and resulted in 54 durometer hardness after
22 hours at 100°C".
We now compare that to NAK Australia's neoprene with the same 'heat age' test, which resulted
in a 58 durometer (Shore A) after 70 hours at 100°C. This simply means that our boots were
only slightly softer compared with being very soft and susceptible to tears or splitting, with the
NAK CK601 neoprene subjected to the same punishment 3 times as long.
There is a big difference in the material, the first time you test or fit the NAK boot, you will be
impressed with the quality.

Quality
- The NAK factory has been awarded the QS 9000 certification.

- New high temperature steering rack boot for Commodore has been tested up to 1 million cycles at a stroke length of 82mm.
