		Precision O-Rings Our precision O-Rings are available in all standard sizes in accordance with the US standard AS 568A and also a wide range in metric DIN standard in various materials. The most widely used compound is NBR 70 which is suitable for approximately 90% of applications. We also carry NBR 90, VITON 75, HNBR and we can source other materials from our various overseas suppliers. O-Rings can be used in both static and dynamic applications and, in the case of dynamic applications, either the inside or the outside can work as a rubbing seal.

O-Ring Cord
We carry a wide range of extruded O-Ring cord in both NBR 70 and VITON 70 material which is suitable for the manufacture or hard to find O-Ring sizes - but it must be stressed that such O-Rings can only be used as a static seal and only as a last resort. Preference should always be given to using a moulded O-Ring to minimise the chance of O-Ring failure due to joint breakage.

The table below indicates the applicable tolerances for each cord section. It should be noted that these tolerances are broad when compared to moulded equivilant cord section due to the manufacturing technique employed in production i.e extrusion.
